The large nitinol profile centering system provides self-guided intraluminal positional control and further dissects and compresses the plaque locally in the lateral direction, without harming the vessel wall. The channel created in the antegrade direction is large enough for imaging catheters to be immediately used and completes vessel preparation for further treatment.
The catheter shaft acts as a delivery system, connecting the palm sized ergonomic handle and the catheter tip, providing the force and control necessary to traverse plaque in a single pass
With Santreva-ATK, no external power source is needed. The torque wheel enables the operator to manually control advancement of the device, while providing tactile feedback regarding lesion morphology
